About the Author:
Rita Major-Hallerdin is a mother, grandmother, and retired second-grade teacher with thirty-six years of experience in the White Plains City School District of New York. When it comes to teaching young children, her motto has always been that learning should be exciting and fun, and it is a teacher’s most fundamental challenge to creatively achieve this goal.
She firmly believes that “readers are leaders,” and that reading paves a pathway that leads to knowledge, success, and power. Inspired by a personal experience, she decided to write a book that would allow her to continue to shape young minds in creative ways.
