Jack Kerouac Writer in Residence Project
Provides four residencies a year to writers of any stripe or age, living anywhere in the world. Each residency consists of approximately a three-month stay in the cottage where Jack Kerouac wrote his novel Dharma Bums.
Utilities and a food stipend of $800 are included.
“All you are required to do is work on your writing project and give a reading in the house at the end of your residency. The Project also offers opportunities to you for readings, leading workshops and interacting with the Central Florida Community in various ways. We strive to be a central part of the literary community by bringing writers to Central Florida. The Kerouac House is much loved by all that have come to write here.”
